VA’s Recipe for Success
I can say that the success of a virtual assistant lies on two things: skills and clients. At the beginning of your virtual assistance job, clients are hard to come by without the proper skills. One must really train his or herself so that he can aid the customer in his endeavors. After all, that is what virtual assistants do. They help their clients attain their goals.
The second ingredient for success is clients. You may think that this is outside of your control but it is not.
You have the ability to format and write your ads so you appeal to the right clients. You may be skilled but if you have a client who treats you like a slave then the relationship will likely not last.
Luckily, I have gained these two. I have two clients who have been using me for quite a while now and I do not know if it is coincidence but they have very similar traits. They are very nice and they are open to teach in case you make mistakes. This has propelled the lasting relationship between us.
So if you want to be successful in this field, I would suggest that you make sure that you cater to the right clients with the right set of skills. The last thing you want to happen is get the right clients but you do not have the skills to aid them. Train first before advertising yourself. From there, you can expect true success.
