How to Make Your Clients Stick
One of the features of good virtual assistants is that their clients stick with them no matter what happens. This means that their clients love the way they did their job that they want to have them as their personal worker and they will never leave their side. This is a blessing for us VAs because we do not need to look further for new clients. And since we know the wants and style of our old client, adjustment is somehow minimal.
So how can you make your clients stick? Here are some advice.
Work Conscientiously
Remember that your clients are paying for the time that you are working. It is in this regard that you should give your best in each second. Work conscientiously even if your client is not directly watching you. This may require a bit of discipline on your part but it will be worthy in the end.
Speak Out
Do not be a robot and just follow all the directions that your client provides. Speak up. I am not telling you to rebel against your client but have a voice and tell your client what you think. If you think a particular process will not work, then tell your client honestly. That way, the expectations are clear.
Be Consistent
Some VAs tend to be so excited on their first jobs that they work so much that they burn out themselves. But then as time passes, these VAs lose the motivation and starts to slack off. To be a good VA, you must fight this tendency. Remember that you are being paid by the hour and it is common courtesy to do your job.
Overall, just be nice to your client and show that you can do your job better than others can. This way, your client will not opt for anybody else than you.
