Advertising Yourself as a Virtual Assistant
Some people may have the skills but they simply cannot find a client. Some people even find it very burdensome and they end up giving up being a virtual assistant because of the lack of clients. The thing is, there is really a huge demand for virtual assistance services. We have established that in the last blog post that I made on why businesses need a virtual assistant. All you have to do is find these people and fulfill that need. Here are some tips on how you can advertise yourself so you can quickly get a client.
Focus on Your Skills
First off, you have to define what you can offer. As I have told you before, you have to cater to a particular niche and develop skills that will be of benefit to the industry. When advertising yourself, you have to focus on what you can do. Tell your clients what you can offer them for the small time they are going to hire you.
Give Value to Time
Business people are very wary of time. As some of them claim, time is money. If you can guarantee them on the work you can achieve for a certain period of time, then your chance of being hired will increase.
It is rather simple once you understand it. I have already told you about focusing on your skills. Now equate these skills with time. For example, illustrate how much articles you can do in an hour if you are a writer. Or indicate how many hours it will take you to create a logo if you are a designer. It is all about equating your services with time.
Set Expectations
There is nothing better than trusting an online worker who set everything straight. Tell your client what times you can be online and what days. Aside from telling them how much you can achieve at a given time, this will also clear up time issues. If there is a better way for your client to monitor you, then propose it. But you do not really need to worry about that because clients do not necessarily need to monitor you. They want to dedicate their time to more important things than watch you work all day.
Find Your Market
There is one thing that you must know if you are planning to be a virtual assistant. That is your market will not come to you. You must always go out of your way and find them.
The technique is rather easy to understand. All you have to do is find where the people in the niche you chose hang out. Social media websites is the key here. These websites are currently gaining popularity and they are a very good source of clients.
Aim on Achieving Results
The businessman’s perspective must always be taken into consideration. And that is they always want to achieve results. With this idea, you must craft your advertisement in such a way that you will focus on the end result you can offer to your client. A unique selling position or your advantage against competitors will come in handy. If you have a blog on your niche (but it is not necessarily required), show it to your clients for a plus.
